Baycare Health System issued the following announcement on July 24
To help enhance the Tampa Bay area’s resources in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, BayCare has expedited the opening of a new patient tower at St. Joseph's Hospital. Today the hospital opened 30 orthopedic and neurological patient rooms, providing more capacity to serve patients and freeing up space to create additional COVID-dedicated rooms if needed.
