Magnolia Montessori Academy issued the following announcement on Oct. 11.
Montessori teaches that the child is intrinsically motivated to develop towards independence and the role of the adult is to facilitate that progress.
Montessori supports the child: by offering choice
creating a calm peaceful environment to allow for concentration
providing materials with control of error.
avoiding interference and interruption
When adults avoid interfering in the child’s reasonable activities, the child will gain self-confidence and self reliance and learn to self-regulate their emotions through order and concentration.
