Graduates earn 205 degrees from Florida Polytechnic University

About 53.2 percent of the 205 degrees and certificates handed out by Florida Polytechnic University in 2017-18 were to students in engineering programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Lakeland conferred 106 bachelor's degrees and 3 master's degrees in engineering programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in "other" computer software and media applications. Data shows the school gave out 62 bachelor's degrees in "other" computer software and media applications, followed by 53 bachelor's degrees in mechanical engineering and 28 bachelor's degrees in electrical and electronics engineering.

The university enrolled 1,425 students for 2017-18, including 1,392 in undergraduate programs and 33 in graduate programs.
