51 percent of applicants to Florida Polytechnic University were admitted for fall 2018

At Florida Polytechnic University, 93 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 87 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Lakeland enrolled 1,425 students in fall 2018, including 1,392 in undergraduate and 33 in graduate programs, data shows. 3.7 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

94 percent of undergraduates are residents of Florida, and 3 percent are residents of other states. 4 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (64 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (19 percent).

The school admitted 51 percent of the 1,437 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 43 percent enrolled.
