County Of Polk recently issued the following announcement.
A mobile health care event will be held at the Wabash Community Center at 1230 Southern Avenue in Lakeland on August 18 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Some of the services to be offered at this event include: blood pressure, total cholesterol, blood glucose and bmi tests, vaccinations, Polk Healthcare Plan applications, hearing tests and phone distribution, as well as dental evaluations and screenings.
Information will also be available concerning: diabetes management, housing assistance, veteran assistance, child welfare and behavioral health.
