Congressman Scott Franklin, who represents Florida’s 18th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared several updates on social media addressing international affairs, local healthcare developments, and national recognition of a public figure.

On October 14, 2025, Franklin posted his reaction to recent diplomatic developments in the Middle East, stating, "My statement on the Israel–Hamas ceasefire and hostage agreement. Franklin has served in Congress since 2021 after replacing Ross Spano and previously held a seat in the Florida House of Representatives. He was born in Thomaston, Georgia in 1964 and resides in Lakeland. Franklin is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and Embry–Riddle Aeronautical University.
