City Of Auburndale issued the following announcement on Nov. 01.
Tonight, Mayor Tim Pospichal proclaimed November 14, 2021 as “First United Methodist Church Day” to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of Auburndale’s First United Methodist Church (FUMC).
The church was first organized in 1921, and their original parsonage was completed in 1922 at Main Street and Bridgers Avenue (now Spirit Life Ministries). In 1969, ground was broken for a new parsonage on Lake Ariana, where the First United Methodist Church is currently located. Congratulations to Auburndale FUMC on your 100th Anniversary!
