Research shows that missing 10 percent of the school, or about 18 days in most school districts, negatively affects a student’s academic performance. That’s just two days a month and that’s known as chronic absence. (attendanceworks.org)
We will be holding a contest here at school to see which classes can achieve 10 days of perfect attendance from Nov. 29 thru Dec. 17. Any classes that are able to meet this goal will get a PIZZA PARTY!!!
Parents, please help us by ensuring that your child is in attendance every day if he or she is well. This also means making sure that your child arrives on time. You may not be aware, but 3 tardies are the equivalent of 1 absence. Thank you for all of your support and making sure that your child is in attendance and on time.
