City Of Auburndale issued the following announcement on Dec. 20.
At tonight’s City Commission Meeting, Mayor Dorothea Taylor Bogert issued a proclamation in recognition and appreciation of the Agricultural and Labor Program, Inc. (ALPI). This community-based organization works to provide community services that make a profound and lasting difference in the lives of children, families, and farmworkers including Head Start/Early Head Start and Child Development Services.
In 2021, ALPI provided the Auburndale area and Polk County with Energy Assistance, Child and Family Development, Affordable Housing, Employment Support Services, and their Child Care Food Program.
Mayor Taylor Bogert’s proclamation names Saturday, January 22, 2022, as The Agricultural and Labor Program, Inc. 54th Anniversary Day. ALPI Deputy Director Al Miller was in attendance to accept the proclamation.
