City Of Haines issued the following announcement on Jan. 17.
Today, we recognize and honor the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
We will continue to celebrate his legacy and the contributions of those who stand for peace, justice and civil rights.
It is our hope that we can start in our community to be the peace we wish to see in our nation and the world.
