City Of Auburndale issued the following announcement on Feb 20.
Today the Auburndale City Commission attended the Opening Ceremony for Auburndale Youth Baseball as they begin their 2022 Season at the Auburndale Youth Baseball Complex. Mayor Dorothea Taylor Bogert threw the first pitch to officially open the season!
Auburndale Youth Baseball also celebrated the opening of their Buddy-Ball Division for the first time! This division helps special-needs players enjoy the sport of baseball. Players work with a “buddy” who helps them swing a bat, round the bases, catch a ball, etc. Buddy-Ball will be played on Welcome All Field at the Auburndale Youth Baseball Complex each Saturday morning at 8 AM until April.
