Webp vote22

City Of Bartow recently issued the following announcement.

New Voter Information Cards on the Way

Polk County Supervisor of Elections Lori Edwards advises residents to watch for their new Voter Information Cards which have been mailed to more than 450,000 voters.

When the new cards arrive, voters should confirm that all the information is correct including:

• Name;

• Residence Address;

• Party Affiliation; and,

• Date of Birth

“While the new cards are not required to cast a ballot, they provide helpful information to voters, including the location of their polling place,” Ms. Edwards explained.

Due to the redrawing of Florida’s Congressional and State Senate districts, many of Polk County’s voting precincts have changed.  “Voter convenience was a top priority as these changes were implemented,” said Ms. Edwards.  “Nearly every voter will see some change on their new voter information card.  Some voters may have a Congressional or Senate district change, or even a change to their precinct number, even if their voting location remains the same.”

Ms. Edwards encourages voters to double check their polling location before heading out on Election Day.  Voters may also check their information online at PolkElections.gov or by calling the Elections Office at 863-534-5888.
