City Of Haines issued the following announcement on Jul 26.
FIRE HYDRANT HIT BY VEHICLE AT 1Oth AND HINSON,
PLEASE DRIVE WITH CAUTION AND FOLLOW LANE CHANGE
A vehicle struck a fire hydrant at the intersection of 10th Street and Hinson Avenue Tuesday afternoon. The northbound lane at the intersection was compromised and repairs are currently underway. Please reduce speed and drive with caution near the area and follow temporary lane changes while repairs are being performed. We will keep you posted as the situation changes.
