• Operate generators outdoors, in an area with good ventilation. Never run a generator in a home or garage due to their carbon monoxide emissions.
• Do not plug your generator into a wall. This causes feedback. Use heavy-duty extension cords to connect appliances to the outlets on the generator.
• Turn the generator on before plugging any appliances to it. Once the generator is on, turn equipment on one at a time. Prioritize your needs.
• Do not operate the generator in wet conditions. Be sure that the unit is off when refueling. Keep children and pets away from the portable generator.
