CITY OF LAKE WALES: Free wireless rain sensors for automatic irrigation systems are available to homeowners

55

City Of Lake Wales issued the following announcement on Jan. 04.

Free wireless rain sensors for automatic irrigation systems are available to homeowners. Rain sensors prevent your sprinklers from coming on after moderate rainfall.

The estimated savings is around 2,500 gallons per year for every 1,000 square feet of irrigated area.  A 4,000-square-foot lawn would save about 10,000 gallons over one year.
