Bartow Regional Medical Center issued the following announcement on Mar. 08.
Bartow Regional Medical Center is pleased to provide clinic space to Lakeland Volunteers in Medicine (LVIM)! On Feb. 22, we gathered to celebrate the official ribbon cutting for the new clinic.
BRMC and BayCare is providing the space to LVIM through an in-kind contribution, along with a financial contribution for operational assistance. The partnership lines up with BayCare’s commitment to meet the health needs of our communities.
"Our community health needs assessments identified the challenges people face in accessing affordable health care,” said Kristen Smith, Polk’s Community Outreach Coordinator. “LVIM’s work in helping those who are unable to access necessary medical care make them an ideal partner, and we’re happy to see this clinic open its doors.”
“Bartow is an ideal location for another LVIM clinic to better serve the greater Bartow community,” added Karen Kerr, BRMC President. “We’re excited to play a part in bringing these much-needed services closer to those who need it in this area.”
