WASHINGTON, DC— Rep. Scott Franklin (FL-18), a member of the House Appropriations Committee issued the following statement following passage of the MilCon/VA Appropriations bill today:

“As a 26-year Naval Aviator, I know veteran benefits are not up for negotiation. Congressional Democrats tried to scare veterans with false claims that had no basis in reality. The bill House Republicans passed today reflects Republicans’ strong commitment to fully fund VA services for our nation’s heroes.

“Our bill also prevents the VA from implementing Biden’s divisive DEI and CRT policies, ensuring the VA remains focused on veteran care - not woke social experiments. I’m pleased the House acted to invest in the well-being of veterans, VA medical centers, and our national security.”
