Congressman Scott Franklin, representing Florida's 18th district, recently shared a series of tweets focusing on legislative measures and political initiatives. Franklin, who has served as a U.S. Congressman since 2021 after replacing Ross Spano, highlighted various topics from judicial limitations to budget priorities in his recent statements.

On April 10, 2025, Franklin expressed his views regarding the influence of district court judges on national policy. He addressed his support for his colleague, Rep. Darrell Issa's bill aimed at restoring checks and balances and limiting judicial overreach. He emphasized that protecting the balance of power is fundamental to democracy.

Later the same day, Franklin announced the passage of H.R. 22, the SAVE Act, describing it as "a critical step toward securing our elections." He issued a statement underscoring the importance of this legislative move.

In the evening of April 10, Franklin commented on a budget resolution that serves as a preliminary action towards promoting his "America First" agenda. He stated via social media that this resolution seeks to cut reckless spending and protect tax cuts while prioritizing hardworking Americans. He called for collaborative efforts to restore fiscal responsibility and boost the economy.

Scott Franklin, a Georgia native who now resides in Lakeland, began his career in public service on the Florida House of Representatives and holds an educational background from the United States Naval Academy and Embry–Riddle Aeronautical University.
