On April 16, 2025, Congressman Franklin remarked on border security, emphasizing a positive trend in immigration control. He stated, "Illegal crossings are down, thanks to @POTUS’s decisive leadership and the hard work of our border agents. Their strategy is WORKING!"

Later that day, Franklin highlighted a ceremonial event at the White House, involving the Navy football team. As a graduate of the Naval Academy, Franklin noted the significance of this sports achievement, saying "As a @NavalAcademy grad, nothing is bigger than football wins over Army and Air Force to win the Commander-in-Chief’s trophy.
