Congressman Scott Franklin, representing Florida’s 18th district since 2021, has actively expressed his views and activities through recent tweets on social media. Franklin, who has a background in military service including graduation from the United States Naval Academy, has used his platform to comment on national developments and local issues.

On April 16, 2025, Congressman Franklin remarked on border security, emphasizing a positive trend in immigration control. He stated, "Illegal crossings are down, thanks to @POTUS’s decisive leadership and the hard work of our border agents. Their strategy is WORKING!"

Later that day, Franklin highlighted a ceremonial event at the White House, involving the Navy football team. As a graduate of the Naval Academy, Franklin noted the significance of this sports achievement, saying "As a @NavalAcademy grad, nothing is bigger than football wins over Army and Air Force to win the Commander-in-Chief’s trophy. Proud to see @POTUS honor the team at the White House!"

On April 17, 2025, following a crisis incident at Florida State University (FSU), Franklin expressed his concern and support for all affected by the events. He communicated, "Monitoring the tragic events at FSU. Grateful for law enforcement’s quick response. I’m keeping the students, faculty and entire FSU community in my prayers."

Franklin has served in both the United States Congress and the Florida House of Representatives, representing Republican interests and constituents in Lakeland, Florida. His educational background includes graduating from both the United States Naval Academy and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
