On April 18, 2025, in acknowledgment of Good Friday, Franklin reflected on the religious significance of the day, posting, "On this Good Friday, we remember the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ, who gave His life for our salvation. May His love and grace guide us today and always."

That same day, Franklin voiced support for a move by the Commerce Department, addressing agricultural issues in Florida. He tweeted, "Florida’s tomato growers have suffered the unfair dumping of Mexican tomatoes for far too long. I’m happy to see @CommerceGov putting Florida growers and American jobs first!"

Scott Franklin, a U.S. Navy veteran and graduate of the United States Naval Academy, has held his congressional seat since replacing Ross Spano in 2021. Before ascending to Congress, he was a member of the Florida House of Representatives.
