Congressman Scott Franklin, representing Florida's 18th district since 2021, shared a series of tweets on May 15 and 16, 2025. These tweets highlighted his engagements and stances on various issues, reflecting his ongoing work in Congress.

On May 15, Franklin commemorated Peace Officers Memorial Day by honoring law enforcement officers who have sacrificed their lives in service to their communities. He stated, "On Peace Officers Memorial Day, we honor the men & women in law enforcement who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities. We will never forget."

Later that day, Franklin expressed gratitude for a meeting with the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission regarding pro-life priorities. He acknowledged local religious leaders by saying, "Great visit with the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission to discuss their pro-life priorities. Thankful for Pastor Aaron Burgner of Lakes Church in Lakeland and others who are standing up for life."

On May 16, Franklin spoke at the Convenience Distribution Association breakfast about food safety improvements. He noted his efforts against certain FDA regulations: "Enjoyed speaking at the Convenience Distribution Association breakfast on improving food safety. I led the charge to delay @FDA's flawed Food Traceability Rule by 30 months—protecting businesses and ensuring food safety regulations are achievable."

Scott Franklin has been serving in Congress since replacing Ross Spano in 2021. Born in Thomaston, Georgia, he is an alumnus of both the United States Naval Academy and Embry–Riddle Aeronautical University.
