Congressman Scott Franklin, who represents Florida’s 18th district in the U.S. Congress, recently highlighted several legislative and diplomatic developments through his official social media account.

On September 18, 2025, Franklin shared news regarding veteran healthcare access, stating: "Big win for veterans! This week, the House passed @rep_stevewomack’s Protecting Veteran Access to Telemedicine Services Act. As a cosponsor, I’m committed to help ensure veterans, especially in rural areas, continue accessing vital care through telehealth."

Later that day, he commented on agricultural trade relations between the United States and Taiwan: "Honored to join the TECRO Taiwan Agricultural Trade Goodwill Mission Reception, where Taiwan committed $10B in US ag purchases through 2028. A big win for American farmers and for strengthening our partnership with Taiwan!"

On September 19, 2025, Franklin observed National POW/MIA Recognition Day by posting: "On National POW/MIA Recognition Day, we honor America’s prisoners of war and those still missing in action. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten."

Franklin has represented Florida's 18th district since 2021 after succeeding Ross Spano. He previously served in the Florida House of Representatives and is an alumnus of both the United States Naval Academy and Embry–Riddle Aeronautical University. Born in Thomaston, Georgia in 1964, Franklin resides in Lakeland.
