Congressman Scott Franklin, who represents Florida’s 18th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on his official X (formerly Twitter) account highlighting visits to local businesses and organizations.

On September 25, 2025, Franklin posted about a visit to a defense technology facility: "Enjoyed touring @KratosDefense’s facility and seeing their simulation technology in action. Their cutting edge systems keep America strong and give our warfighters the edge to win."

The following day, September 26, he published a brief message: "Rory understands what makes America so special."

Later on September 26, Franklin reported meeting with pharmacy professionals: "Meeting with the Publix Central Pharmacy team offered valuable insight into their work that has made them #1  for customer satisfaction among U.S. supermarket pharmacies, according to J.D. Power’s 2024 survey. #whereshoppingisapleasure"

Franklin has served as the congressional representative for Florida's 18th district since 2021 after replacing Ross Spano. Before joining Congress, he was a member of the Florida House of Representatives. Born in Thomaston, Georgia in 1964, Franklin resides in Lakeland and holds degrees from both the United States Naval Academy and Embry–Riddle Aeronautical University.
