U.S. Congressman Scott Franklin, representing Florida’s 18th district since 2021, addressed recent legislative actions and international events in a series of posts on his social media account.

On October 6, 2025, Franklin commented on the status of federal funding bills and the ongoing government shutdown. He wrote, "House Republicans did their job. We advanced all 12 FY26 bills through @HouseAppropsGOP, delivered three across the House floor and passed a clean CR to keep the government open. Democrats demanded a clean bill, got one and then voted no. They own this shutdown."

Later that day, Franklin extended greetings to those observing Sukkot, stating on October 6, 2025: "Chag Sameach to all celebrating Sukkot! Wishing you a joyful and meaningful festival filled with peace, family and blessings."

On October 7, 2025, Franklin reflected on the anniversary of a terrorist attack in Israel. He posted: "Two years ago, Israel faced a terrorist attack that took many innocent lives. Today we remember those lost and still held hostage. America stands with our ally Israel in the fight against terrorism. "

Scott Franklin has served in Congress since defeating former representative Ross Spano in 2021 and previously served in the Florida House of Representatives. Born in Thomaston, Georgia in 1964 and currently residing in Lakeland, Franklin is also an alumnus of the United States Naval Academy (1986) and Embry–Riddle Aeronautical University (1994).
