Congressman Scott Franklin, who represents Florida’s 18th district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates on his recent engagements with community and agricultural leaders across central Florida in a series of posts made on October 16 and 17, 2025.
On October 16, Franklin attended a local business event, stating, "Enjoyed joining the Mulberry Chamber’s monthly breakfast with local business and community leaders. Exciting to see the continued growth and momentum in Mulberry! https://t.co/1241UJ2wmB".
Later that day, he met with veterans in Polk County, posting, "Appreciated the opportunity to join the Polk County Veterans Council to discuss upcoming events and ways to better serve those who served us. Grateful for the dedicated volunteers who keep our veteran community strong. https://t.co/p8vuNMTWlo".
The following day, Franklin participated in an agricultural meeting and wrote, "Appreciated the opportunity to join local producers and community leaders at the Highlands County Farm Bureau annual meeting. We discussed ongoing efforts to support the farmers, ranchers and growers who keep our state strong. Always a pleasure to see Florida Farm Bureau https://t.co/JIzXGB1fWP".
Scott Franklin has served as U.S. Representative for Florida's 18th District since 2021 after succeeding Ross Spano. He previously held office in the Florida House of Representatives and has roots in Lakeland, Florida. Born in Thomaston, Georgia in 1964, Franklin is a graduate of both the United States Naval Academy and Embry–Riddle Aeronautical University.
