Former Lakeland High School standout David Butz played on Saturday, May 17 in hopes of reaching the NCAA Division II Baseball Championship

On Saturday, May 17, former Lakeland High School standout David Butz’s current collegiate team the Florida Southern Moccasins lost 16-7 against the Delta State Statesmen in the NCAA Division II Baseball Championship.

The game took place at Henley Field at 2 p.m. and was the first matchup against the Delta State Statesmen in the tournament.

The Florida Southern Moccasins’ next game will take place on Saturday, May 17 at 6:15 p.m. at Henley Field.
