City Of Lake Alfred issued the following announcement on Oct. 01.
If you have a concern regarding low water pressure in your home you can contact the City's Utility Department at (863)291-5270 to schedule a pressure test or message us on this Facebook account. Please include your name, address, call back number and details about the concern (i.e. certain time of day, certain faucets, do you have a water softener system?, etc.)
Possible issues could be: dirty aerators/filters on faucets; water softening systems can reduce pressure; buildup of minerals/sediment in house lines or City lines that connect from the force main to your water meter (especially in older homes); low flow or old shower heads; or a combination of issues.
Reporting this issue will help us identify what and where the issues are and see if there are common patterns that can be addressed.
