Scott Franklin discusses agriculture priorities and new federal tax cuts

Congressman Scott Franklin, who represents Florida’s 18th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently highlighted several legislative and community developments through a series of posts on his official social media account.

On September 2, 2025, Franklin emphasized the importance of agriculture to Florida's economy following an event at the state fairgrounds: "The Citrus & Specialty Crop meeting at the Florida State Fairgrounds highlighted ag’s vital role in Florida’s economy. Franklin has served as a member of Congress since 2021 after replacing Ross Spano and previously held office in the Florida House of Representatives. Born in Thomaston, Georgia in 1964, he currently resides in Lakeland. He is a graduate of both the United States Naval Academy and Embry–Riddle Aeronautical University.
