Congressman Scott Franklin, who represents Florida’s 18th district in the U.S. Congress, recently highlighted local initiatives and commemorated Labor Day through a series of posts on social media.

On August 29, 2025, Franklin welcomed representatives from Bay Area Legal Services to his Lakeland office. He stated, "Pleased to welcome Joan Cain Boles and her team to our Lakeland office to highlight the free services Bay Area Legal Services, a nonprofit law firm, offers to seniors 60+ in Hardee, Highlands and Polk Counties. Since 2023, their hotline has received over 41,000 calls from https://t.co/LjDB6ZmSe0".

Later that day, Franklin visited Highlands County Hospital in Sebring with its CEO David Was and other leaders. He wrote on August 29: "Great visit to Highlands County Hospital in Sebring with CEO David Was and their leadership team. Their support is essential to ensuring quality care for our rural communities! https://t.co/puoXCh28OE".

On September 1, Franklin marked Labor Day by acknowledging American workers: "America’s strength begins with its workers. This Labor Day, we honor the men and women whose grit and determination power our nation. https://t.co/pFz2EJJTTx".
