City Of Winter Haven issued the following announcement on Oct. 05.
ROAD ALERT: Eloise Loop Road between Eagle Lake Loop Road and Rifle Range Road will continue to be closed through Fri. Oct. 29 due to unexpected interruptions on this water, wastewater and fiber-optic boring project. Closing Eloise Loop Road remains necessary because over-sized boring equipment intrudes into travel lanes, which creates safety concerns for workers and traffic alike. There is no outlet along the closed route and the roadway is impassible at Eloise Loop Road East, making it especially unsafe for freight traffic turnarounds.
Local residential access will be maintained, but through traffic will detour along Rifle Range Road and Eagle Lake Loop Road. We appreciate your extended patience as work continues on this multi-faceted project.
