City Of Winter Haven issued the following announcement on Oct. 11.
It was an exciting morning in Winter Haven City Hall, as Governor Ron DeSantis visited to announce the award of $9.4 million to the City of Winter Haven to aid in expanding fiber optic infrastructure and road improvements in Winter Haven. This joint funding is from the Florida Job Growth Grant program and FDOT with an overall purpose to improve workforce access to the Central Florida ILC in southeast Winter Haven and to promote job growth in the area.
The Mayor Pro Tem, City Commissioners, and the City leadership team were on hand to accept the ceremonial checks, and to thank Governor Ron DeSantis for recognizing the needs of this community.
