City Of Lakeland issued the following announcement on Dec. 06.
Today, Assistant City Manager and Manager of Innovation & Strategy, Emily Colon received the Service Member Patriot Award presented by Richard MeMarco, Retired MSgt., of the United States Marine Corps.
Assistant City Manager Colon was recognized by the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (E.S.G.R.) for leading the Information Technology Department while I.T. Director, Lt. Colonel Oscar Torres, was activated and deployed for over 90 days in support of the Florida National Guard COVID-19 response.
