City Of Frostproof issued the following announcement on Dec. 14.
We've been asked several times how long you will need to continue to boil your water. When a boil water notice is issued, the City must submit two water tests to make sure the water is safe for consumption. The first test was sent this morning.
The second test has to be sent 24 hours after the first test. It will be sent off tomorrow morning. We hope to have results back on Sunday but it may be Monday before we hear if the water is safe for consumption. Please continue to boil your water until we notify you that it is safe to consume. We will let you know as soon as possible.
