City Of Haines issued the following announcement on Feb 08.
Mayor Morris West, Commissioner Jayne Hall and Assistant City Manager Joanna Abernathy were back at it this week.
The trio made their second trip to Tallahassee in three weeks to try to bring important Haines City projects to fruition. This week, they met with Florida State Emergency Management Director, Kevin Guthrie.
The trio and Mr. Guthrie discussed funding strategies for the new Haines City Fire Department and Emergency Operations Center as well as other hardening projects.
We thank Mr. Guthrie for his time. We also thank Mayor West, Commissioner Hall and Assistant City Manager Abernathy for their hard work on our residents' behalf!
