City Of Winter Haven issued the following announcement on May 22.
Attention Boaters! Be sure to plan your day Tuesday to avoid the canal between Lake Shipp and Lake Lulu. The Florida Midland Railroad team let us know the canal will be closed May 24 from 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. as they lift the center span of the bridge (across the water) to replace timber caps.
