City Of Lake Wales issued the following announcement on May 27.
City of Lake Wales’ staff recommends trimming trees and vegetation prior to the start of hurricane season on June 1. Postponing major yardwork prior to a storm reduces the number of excess tree limbs, branches and yard debris. These items may become projectiles during a storm.
