City Of Haines issued the following announcement on Jun 04.
We are proud of Thunder on the Ridge. And why shouldn’t we be? Our Fourth of July celebration is known as the largest fireworks display in Polk County. Why do we do it? Because we love America and we love our Haines City residents. We know it is more than a month away but when something is this big you need to put it on your calendar early.
Bring your appetite and dancing shoes because there will be food, cold beer and live entertainment. Bring a chair or a blanket. But, please leave Fido at home. Dogs may love their country, too, but they sure don't like fireworks.
