City Of Haines issued the following announcement on Jun. 19.
The Haines City Juneteenth Parade went off without a hitch, beating the rain and proceeding through town with smiles and candy. City officials, police and fire department representatives and numerous community groups were on hand to greet the onlookers.
The Juneteenth Soul Music Concert, scheduled for Saturday evening, was cancelled due to rain and lightning. Enjoy some of the smiling faces celebrating our newest national holiday.
