City Of Haines recently issued the following announcement.
EXPECT DELAYS AT HINSON AVENUE AND
10TH STREET DUE TO SEWER LINE REPAIRS
Beginning Monday, July 11 there will be a partial closure of the eastbound lane of Hinson Avenue at the intersection of 10th Street in Haines City as construction begins on sewer line repairs in the area. The work will be ongoing and residents are advised to find alternate routes during the construction. The work is being done to repair compromised piping in the area. The pipes were first installed in 1927 and will be updated to current specifications.
Expect commuting delays if you travel CR 544, 30th Street or Hinson Avenue during this time.
Semi-trucks must follow detours while local traffic is encouraged to seek alternate routes from July 11 through July 15. This timeline is an estimate and may take longer due to weather conditions.
In order to expedite the work, the city has received approval to work on the project 24/7 until the project is complete.
