WASHINGTON - Congressman Franklin, representing the American people, voted against a 45-day Continuing Resolution today, citing concerns over border security and excessive government spending under the Biden administration.

"Today, I voted against a 45-day Continuing Resolution that makes no effort to secure the border and greenlights more of Biden’s weaponized government," stated Congressman Franklin. "I cannot support any short-term spending bill that fails to hold the Administration accountable or address Congress’ insatiable appetite to spend money."

Highlighting the expectations of the American people, Congressman Franklin emphasized the need for Congress to make tough choices and prevent the nation from heading towards bankruptcy.

"Americans are expecting Congress to make tough choices and stop our nation’s collision course with bankruptcy," said Congressman Franklin. "Congress must use this extension to continue passing principled single-subject funding bills that address our mounting national debt and roll back the Biden agenda in a more permanent way."

Expressing his dedication to resolving the fiscal challenges faced by the nation, Congressman Franklin pledged to work tirelessly to prevent a recurrence of the current situation in just 45 days.

"I’m willing to work whatever hours necessary to ensure we’re not back in this same place 45 days from now," assured Congressman Franklin.
