Congressman Scott Franklin (FL-18) issued a statement on October 1, 2024, regarding Iran’s recent attack on Israel. In his message, Franklin expressed strong support for Israel and condemned Iran's actions.

"My earnest prayers are with the people of Israel as they defend against horrific attacks from Iran, whose stated goal is the annihilation of Israel," said Franklin. He emphasized that Iran has launched ballistic missiles directly into Israel multiple times and warned about the imminent threat posed by Iran's nuclear capabilities. "The Iranian regime is roughly 12 days away from having enough fissile material to build a nuclear warhead."

Franklin underscored his backing of Israel’s right to self-defense and its efforts to dismantle Iran's nuclear program. "I fully support Israel’s right to defend itself and launch attacks into Iran to dismantle their nuclear program," he stated. He also highlighted the persistent threat posed by Iran and its proxies, urging global awareness: "Iran—and their evil proxies—won’t stop until Israel is wiped off the map. The world needs to wake up and take these terrorists at their word before it’s too late."

Asserting the significance of U.S.-Israel relations, Franklin concluded with a call for continued support: "As the only democracy in the Middle East, we must continue to send a clear, unequivocal message: the U.S. stands with Israel."
