On March 19, 2025, Congressman Scott Franklin welcomed two astronauts back to Earth with a tweet stating: "Welcome back to Terra Firma, Butch and Suni! Long cruise, eh sailors?" The post reflects a light-hearted greeting towards the returning space travelers.

In another post dated March 21, 2025, Franklin highlighted the significance of a bill he co-sponsored with Sanford Bishop. He noted that "My bill with @SanfordBishop was crucial in urging the FDA to extend the compliance date for the Food Traceability Rule by 30 months." This extension is aimed at enhancing food safety by allowing more time for implementation and facilitating faster identification of contaminated food.

Later on March 21, Franklin commented on an executive order from President Trump regarding educational reform. He remarked that "President Trump's EO to eliminate the Dept. of Education empowers parents and states to shape their kids’ education." He cited Florida’s success as evidence that when local entities lead educational initiatives, student outcomes improve.
