Congressman Scott Franklin, a representative of Florida’s 18th district since 2021, has recently expressed his views on various issues via social media. Franklin, a United States Naval Academy alumnus, highlights his commitment to military readiness, critiques financial spending on government projects, and honors veterans' services.

In a tweet dated April 3, 2025, Franklin emphasized his support for military readiness over social experiments, stating, " Mission Readiness Social Experiments As a @NavalAcademy grad, I support its alignment with @SecDef's mission to prioritize warfighting excellence over ideological distractions. Our military must remain focused on readiness, strength and victory." He associates these priorities with his background as a Naval Academy graduate.

On the same day, Franklin criticized spending decisions made by the Biden administration, focusing on a museum associated with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). He conveyed his concern with the tweet, "TAXPAYER WASTE: Biden’s EPA spent $4M on a museum that barely anyone visited. Now it’s SHUTTING DOWN. <2K visitors per year $600K/year to operate $315 per visitor Time to get back to REAL environmental protection — not vanity projects." He questioned the financial management of the project, emphasizing a need for practical environmental initiatives over less impactful expenditures.

In his post on April 4, 2025, Franklin paid tribute to Vietnam War veterans. In his message, he shared, "Honoring our heroes! Our team was pleased to attend the National Vietnam War Veterans Day ceremony at Lakeland Veterans Memorial Park last weekend. We will never forget the sacrifices of those who served." Franklin acknowledged the sacrifices made by veterans during a commemorative ceremony at Lakeland Veterans Memorial Park.
