Scott Franklin engages with key agricultural and energy sectors in recent meetings

Congressman Scott Franklin, representing Florida's 18th district, recently shared insights from his engagements with various organizations and constituents through a series of tweets. Franklin, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress since 2021 after replacing Ross Spano, highlighted his interactions and celebrations that underscore his commitment to the community.

On May 2, 2025, Franklin tweeted about his meeting with the Florida Cattlemen’s Association. He expressed appreciation for catching up with constituents including President Dale Carlton of Wauchula and First Vice President John Williamson of Okeechobee. In his tweet, he noted: "Enjoyed catching up with the Florida Cattlemen’s Association this week, including constituents President Dale Carlton of Wauchula and First Vice President John Williamson of Okeechobee. Appreciate their insight and all they do to support Florida’s ag community!"

Later on the same day, Franklin discussed a meeting held with the Florida Electric Cooperative via another tweet posted at 20:44 UTC. He emphasized the importance of efficient power restoration following natural disasters and modernizing electric infrastructure in rural areas. He stated: "Had a great meeting with the Florida Electric Cooperative this week to discuss efficient power restoration following hurricanes and disasters, as well as the critical need to modernize electric infrastructure in rural communities."

On May 4, 2025, Congressman Franklin celebrated National Orange Juice Day by recognizing Florida's citrus industry. In his tweet posted at 15:52 UTC, he paid tribute to the growers and families who have shaped this vital sector: "From grove to glass, citrus has long been a symbol of Florida. On #NationalOrangeJuiceDay, we celebrate the generations of growers and families who’ve shaped this vital industry."

Scott Franklin was born in Thomaston, Georgia in 1964 and currently resides in Lakeland. A graduate of the United States Naval Academy (1986) and Embry–Riddle Aeronautical University (1994), he previously served in the Florida House of Representatives before joining Congress.
