On May 2, 2025, Franklin tweeted about his meeting with the Florida Cattlemen’s Association. He expressed appreciation for catching up with constituents including President Dale Carlton of Wauchula and First Vice President John Williamson of Okeechobee. Scott Franklin was born in Thomaston, Georgia in 1964 and currently resides in Lakeland. A graduate of the United States Naval Academy (1986) and Embry–Riddle Aeronautical University (1994), he previously served in the Florida House of Representatives before joining Congress.
