Congressman Scott Franklin, who has represented Florida’s 18th district in the U.S. Congress since 2021, recently shared a series of tweets addressing various issues. Born in Thomaston, Georgia, Franklin has an educational background from the United States Naval Academy and Embry–Riddle Aeronautical University.

On May 5, 2025, Franklin expressed his views on Medicaid through a tweet: "Medicaid should help pregnant mothers—not able-bodied men who won’t work. We need to protect the vulnerable, not fund dependency."

Later that day, he highlighted his support for a legislative initiative with another tweet: "The House just passed @RepPfluger's ACES Act, a bill I cosponsored, to investigate a concerning trend: military aviators, some of the healthiest among us, are developing cancer at alarming rates. The numbers don’t add up. It’s time we found out why." This reflects ongoing concerns about health issues affecting military personnel.

On May 6, 2025, Congressman Franklin commemorated National Teacher Appreciation Day by acknowledging educators' efforts: "On National Teacher Appreciation Day, we honor the incredible educators who inspire, challenge, and uplift the next generation. Your dedication is more than teaching—it transforms lives. Thank you for all you do."

Scott Franklin's recent statements reflect his focus on healthcare policy and education while also supporting investigations into health risks faced by military personnel.
