Congressman Scott Franklin, who represents Florida's 18th district in the U.S. Congress, has been active on social media, sharing insights and messages about various causes and initiatives he supports. Franklin, a former member of the Florida House of Representatives and a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, replaced Ross Spano in 2021.

On May 11, 2025, Congressman Franklin paid tribute to mothers by acknowledging their roles as teachers, defenders, and supporters. He stated "Mothers are our first teachers, fiercest defenders and lifelong supporters. Today, and always, we honor their countless sacrifices."

The following day, May 12, 2025, Franklin expressed his satisfaction in collaborating with Mario Diaz-Balart and the bipartisan Everglades Caucus. He emphasized their joint efforts in securing funding for Everglades restoration to ensure clean water preservation and wildlife protection. He tweeted "Pleased to work alongside @MarioDB and the bipartisan Everglades Caucus to deliver critical Everglades restoration funding that safeguards clean water, preserves wildlife and strengthens Florida’s long-term resilience."

Later on May 12, Congressman Franklin highlighted Brain Tumor Awareness Month by honoring those affected by brain tumors. He shared that this cause is particularly significant to him personally. His commitment extends towards advocating for research support and improving care access for patients. He conveyed his message by stating "This Brain Tumor Awareness Month, we honor the strength of patients, families and caregivers impacted by this devastating disease. This cause is deeply personal to me, and I remain committed to supporting research and expanding access to care that brings hope to millions."

Scott Franklin has served in the U.S. Congress since 2021 after succeeding Ross Spano.
