Congressman Scott Franklin, representing Florida's 18th district since 2021, shared insights on various topics through a series of tweets. Franklin, who succeeded Ross Spano and previously served in the Florida House of Representatives, has been active in discussing housing issues, historical commemorations, and legislative achievements.

On June 5, 2025, Congressman Franklin emphasized the importance of engaging with local leaders like Geoffrey Ingram from the Lakeland Association of Realtors to address issues affecting Florida's housing market. He expressed his commitment to advocating for pro-growth policies such as the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) to bolster support for homeowners and strengthen the economy. "Always appreciate hearing directly from local leaders like Geoffrey Ingram, president of the Lakeland Association of Realtors, about issues shaping Florida’s housing market. I’ll keep fighting for pro-growth policies like the TCJA to support homeowners and strengthen our economy."

In a tweet dated June 6, 2025, Franklin paid tribute to American soldiers who participated in D-Day during World War II. Reflecting on his own experience as a Navy veteran, he honored their bravery and acknowledged their significant impact on history. "81 years ago today, brave American heroes charged the beaches of Normandy and changed the course of history. As a Navy veteran, I will never forget the valor of the Greatest Generation. We honor their sacrifice and live in their legacy."

Later that day on June 6th, Franklin announced receiving recognition alongside Sanford Bishop at the Washington Insight Conference with an inaugural IFDA Changemaker Award. The award highlighted their bipartisan effort leading to an FDA decision to delay implementing its food traceability rule—an action aimed at alleviating pressure on America's food supply chain. "Proud to receive the inaugural IFDA Changemaker Award at this year’s Washington Insight Conference alongside @SanfordBishop. Our bipartisan bill prompted the FDA to delay its food traceability rule, easing the burden on our nation’s food supply chain."

Scott Franklin was born in Thomaston, Georgia in 1964 but currently resides in Lakeland. He is an alumnus of both United States Naval Academy (BA) class of '86) and Embry–Riddle Aeronautical University ('94).
