Congressman Scott Franklin of Florida has issued a statement regarding the rising tensions between Israel and Iran. In his remarks, Franklin emphasized that the conflict should be seen as an issue with "the radical, jihadist regime in Tehran," rather than with the Iranian populace.

Franklin expressed support for Israel's right to self-defense, stating, "It is well within Israel’s right to defend itself against aggression and threats to its existence." He also highlighted the importance of supporting U.S. diplomatic efforts while acknowledging the contributions of Iranian Americans.

He further noted, "I also stand with those who have fled the regime’s brutality and built meaningful lives here in America. Iranian Americans are valued members of our communities, many of whom are heartbroken by the violence and repression they see."

Franklin called for protection of rights for all individuals in America and stressed that no one should face discrimination based on their heritage. He concluded by affirming that "The U.S. must remain a steadfast voice for freedom and the rule of law."
